Glucocorticoids
Glucocorticoids are a class of steroid hormones characterized by an ability to bind with the cortisol receptor and trigger similar effects. They are primarily involved in the process of glucose metabolism. Glucocorticoids bind to the cytosolic glucocorticoid receptor. Cortisol is the primary hormone in the glucocorticoid class.
